I’m a freelance journalist, copywriter and author who loves a good story and believes every business has one to tell. I’ve been told that I connect with my clients and their audiences. I’m a stickler about deadlines, so you can count on me to see a project through from ideation to delivery. That applies to the book vision that starts with interviews and ends with a title for sale on—and to the website project that begins with a blank screen and involves culminating a creative team to roll out an engaging online presence. It means digging deep during magazine interviews with sources to tease out details that bring a story to life.

I started WriteHand Co. in 2004 after serving as an editor for several years. Since then, I’ve been recognized as “Best In Ohio: Freelancer” by the Press Club of Cleveland, and before that, a Young Scholar by the American Society of Business Press Editors (ASBPE). I’m a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) and served on the Cleveland board of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA). I also help out various community organizations with their writing needs.


You may have picked up a magazine with my byline in it. I contribute monthly to Cleveland Magazine, and have been published in trade journals and consumer magazines: Fortune, Entrepreneur, Cooking Light, Ladies’ Home Journal, Vogue Knitting, Consumers Digest and I have interviewed a range of personalities, from the co-founder of Samuel Adams Brewing Co. to Chef Michael Symon and leading cardiologist and FDA watchdog Steven Nissen, M.D., Cleveland Clinic. I talked with the original Apprentice and sat across the table from Forest City Enterprises/Cleveland legend Sam Miller.
